Eaglehawk Primary School values and understands the importance of the home- school partnership in supporting students learning both in and out of the classroom.

As the saying goes, ‘it takes a village to raise a child’, we are excited to have families and the wider community supporting us.

Playgroup
This year we are working in partnership with the City of Greater Bendigo playgroup facilitator, Ashleigh, to run a playgroup every Wednesday morning from 9am – 11am in the library. Everyone is welcome. All toys are provided. Please bring along a snack for your child.

Early Start
Eaglehawk Primary will be running their Early Start program in Term 2 for children starting prep in 2022. It will run on Fridays from 1.45-3pm with Monique, our qualified Early Childhood Teacher. Please contact the school by phoning 5446 3722 for more information.

Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program
Eaglehawk Primary was one of the first Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden schools. Each week classes participate in garden classes, caring and maintaining our plants and chickens. Tasks include weeding, composting, harvesting and tasting produce, and collecting seeds and planting. Our grade 3/4 classes alternate in fortnightly cooking classes.

Daily Breakfast Program
We like to start each day positively so every morning we offer a free healthy breakfast of fruit, toast, milk and a cheery good morning.

Community as Partners
We have a range of programs that families and community members can help with including reading in the classroom, cooking with our 3/4 classes each Thursday 11.30am -1pm and gardening with classes on Mondays.

All you need is an interest in learning, be understanding, and come with a smile and a Working With Children’s Check (free to volunteer).
