11 birthdays
A Wish Novel (Willow Falls)
By Wendy Mass

11 birthdays is about an 11 year old girl, Amanda, who is born on the same day as her ‘use-to-be’ best friend. When they stayed mad at each other for one year, their eleventh birthday kept on repeating itself over again.

The only way out is to become friends again. The friends need to work together to discover how to make things right again.

The reason the day kept on repeating itself was because when the girls’ grandfathers lived in the town they lived next door to each other and they both had farms but they were constantly arguing and their town was sick of it.

So one day a lady who knew some magic cast an enchantment on the two of them: That if the two of them stayed mad at each other for one year the day would repeat over and over until they became friends again. So of course harvesting day repeated for them. When they made up it was a huge surprise to the town.

I liked the book because it was interesting to find out how the two friends made up and how different actions can make one day so different. I would recommend this book for 11 to 13 year olds.
