Eaglehawk North Primary School entered into Vic Health’s Walk to School Program last year. On our first Friday 200 students and family members
participated in this event. For the next four Fridays, 150 people turned up to take part in this event.

It was so popular that the school decided to continue this event every Friday. The school contacted our Whipstick Ward Councillors to
participate. They then took up the cause of engaging the City of Greater Bendigo to develop a safe path for our students to walk to school from the Sailors Gully hall on a regular basis.

That work has now come to fruition with a footpath being constructed along Sailors Gully Road that will connect with existing bike paths to the school.

The benefits for the school and our students will be enormous. After Covid-19 restrictions ease, Eaglehawk North primary School Plans to run regular Walk, Ride or Scoot to School days using the newly constructed path. We are looking forward to all of school community joining us for these events.
