Safety At Lightning Reef Primary
Grades Prep, One and Two have been learning about how to keep themselves safe.
They have learnt about
people they can trust, how to call 000 and what each of the emergency services are for.
Students have enjoyed role playing calling 000 for police, fire and ambulance
emergencies. We have also had the Life Education Van at our school. Students were very excited to have all three emergency services visit our school.
Paramedic Rhiannon came and taught us all about the equipment she uses and showed us her vehicle,
Senior Constable Holly came in to tell us what it’s like to be a police officer and how we can stay safe in traffic and the community and firemen from the Eaglehawk Fire Brigade visited to teach us what to do in a fire emergency.
