Each year at Violet St we run a Leisure and Recreation Program (LARP) in term 4 to give students a chance to participate in a range of different activities run by teachers, support staff and parents.
This year the activities have included swimming, lawn bowls, jewellery making, cooking, bonsai, ultimate Frisbee, bike riding, sewing, slime making and board games.
Each Thursday afternoon for four weeks the students participate in the activity of their choosing and hopefully learn a new skill or improve on one they already have.
I have loved the experiences that LARP offers.
It has given me the opportunities to branch out with my skill set and step out of my comfort zone. LARP is a wonderful program and I hope it continues for many years to come.
