On the 2nd of September 2017, 30 students and three teachers from ESC travelled to Bali for a study tour.
We had to wake up early in the morning to get to the airport by 6:45am and the flight took six hours. When we got there, we got on a bus to our hotel, which took another two hours. It was a long day!
When we got to the hotel we got a little bit of time to ourselves, we could go swimming, or we could just relax in our rooms.
We went to Tanah Lot temples and markets then we went out for dinner at Café Lotus in Ubud and watched a dance performance.
We went to a local school and we did some ‘batik’, which is producing coloured designs on textiles by dyeing them, having first applied wax to the parts to be left undyed.
We went to Bali Safari and Marine Park and watched the tigers and elephants. Then we had lunch at Uma Resto.
We went to the monkey forest and afterwards we went to the Ubud markets and did some shopping using our bargaining skills!
We went to the Tuban markets and did some more bargaining then we went to the new hotel in Kuta. When we got there some of us sat by the pool or went in the pool and some of us just stayed in our room.
We went to a two hour language lesson then we went to Sunday’s beach club with clean sand and water.
We went to another two hour language lesson then we went to the art museum called DMZ.
We were at the Water Bomb Park for the whole day then we left and we went out for tea. After tea, we went to the airport and got on our plane to fly home. Our flight Was an overnight flight.
We arrived at the airport around 7:00am then we had to go through customs and security and when we got to the other side our parents were waiting for us.
