As we approach the end of the school year in 2020, the process of choosing Eaglehawk North School Captains for the following year begins.
Given the year we have all had in 2020, Eaglehawk North’s current School captains Ava and Henry were asked to reflect on their year and talk about their highlights and lowlights.
Ava felt that return to onsite learning where she was able to socialise with her friends after a considerable time apart from them was a highlight of the last few months. She also mentioned running school assembly via video conferencing as a success for her as a School Captain. Her low light was missing out on a number of opportunities that School captains would experience in a non Covid Year.
Henry was happy to return to school where he found learning with his teacher face to face a much easier proposition. With both his mum and dad working from home, Henry found remote learning a bit of a challenge. Henry’s highlight as School Captain was to be able to help other students.
Both agreed that they appreciated coming to school a lot more after
experiencing Remote Learning.
